Each independent cabin combines rustic charm with modern comfort, immersing visitors in pristine natural surroundings and providing opportunities for both relaxation and adventure. Location
Our cabins are located about a 5-minute drive from Lake Kawaguchi and just a 1–3 minute walk from the shore of Lake Saiko. One of the greatest attractions is the breathtaking view of the Sea of Trees (Jukai) and Mount Fuji rising behind the lake. Cottages A through E are situated in the Kuwarubi area, while cottages F and G are in the Ojiwara area. Together, these two sites cover a spacious area of approximately 7,800 square meters, allowing guests to enjoy a private and exclusive stay in their own rented cottage.

An extremely laid-back day
In the morning, enjoy a warm cup of coffee on the terrace while listening to the songs of wild birds.
Relax in a hammock on the terrace with a good book.
Have brunch at your favorite café.
Go kayaking on the calm, mirror-like waters of Lake Saiko.
Share a BBQ on the terrace with family and friends.
As night falls, gather around the wood stove or a campfire for conversation.
On nights without city lights, gaze up at a sky full of stars before heading to bed.
You can also indulge in the ultimate luxury-simply doing nothing and savoring the peacefulness.

Sometimes be active
Lake Saiko, with a circumference of about 10 kilometers, is perfect for outdoor activities. On clear days, cycling or jogging along the relatively flat lakeside route is highly recommended, offering fresh air and stunning natural views for both casual participants and those seeking a bit more challenge.
For a different experience, take a leisurely walk through the nearby Aokigahara Forest. Stroll along moss-covered paths at your own pace, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. This immersive forest walk provides a tranquil contrast to the lakeside activities and is one of Saiko’s unique highlights.

On the lake
Lake Saiko, with its high water clarity and calm, mirror-like surface on windless days, is ideal for canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). The lake remains peaceful at all times because there are no motorboats or sightseeing boats allowed, ensuring a quiet environment. Against the striking backdrop of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding Aokigahara forest, fishing is also a highlight at Lake Saiko. In spring and autumn, fishing for kokanee salmon (himemasu) and Japanese smelt (wakasagi) is permitted, while black bass can be caught during other season
